What happens when a bank heist implodes into a turf war between two rival Los Angeles gangs? That’s the starting point of an intense, fast-paced thriller called the Mason Brothers, which follows a group of outlaws who realize an informant has sabotaged their ploy to rob a bank and the mayhem ends with murder. This action-packed, crime themed film delves into the dramatic power struggle that festers in LA’s underworld.

The independent film is the feature-length debut of writer and director Keith Sutliff who also stars in the leading role of Ren Mason. The Mason Brothers also stars Carlotta Montanari (Allena), Gregory Gordon (Diego), Pele Kizy (Cyrus), Steve Bethers (Lance), Nazo Bravo (Adrian), Erica Souza (Violet), Alexandria Rousset (Helen), and David Trevino (Tony).

While the movie focuses on the bare knuckle brutality of the gangsters, actress Carlotta Montanari (Being American, Parenthood, Rome) holds her own as a headstrong character named Allena. She’s an assistant and love interest of one of Los Angeles’ most notorious wealthy crimes bosses and shot caller, “Fredrick”. Allena assists Fredrick with organizing deals with smaller gangs and other crime bosses of Los Angeles. She is a confident woman who won’t take no for an answer to help Fredrick complete his deal with the Mason Brothers.
