Daniel Bydlowski Forefronts ‘Bullying’ with a Poignant Comedy in the Oscar Qualifying CIFF

Daniel Bydlowski ‘s Bullies stars Kaden Hetherington, Fred Ornstein, Weston Nathanson, Stephen Holland & Conrad Bluth

Daniel Bydlowski’s award-winning film ‘Bullies’ shares the story of a young boy who is bullied at school and was inspired by the director’s own experience.  While there are many movies about bullying, Daniel took a different approach with the aim to communicate directly with those that suffer or have suffered from bullying and show them that they are not alone.  The 1980s entertainment style helped him cope with the problem and Bullies was created as an entertaining space to explore fears.

This poignant film has been selected by numerous high profile film festivals taking home awards at Newport Beach, Comic-Con and being selected by Oscar-qualifying film festivals.

A 10-year-old boy is relentlessly bullied until he discovers a secret beneath his school that promises to keep him safe – if he’s willing to play by the rules.

Director and writer Daniel Bydlowski is an award-winning filmmaker and virtual reality artist. Daniel was internationally recognized after his undergraduate short animation Ticket for Success received awards and was selected by several festivals, such as San Diego’s International Children’s Film Festival and AnimaMundi. He garnered many positive reviews for his extraordinary technical ability to reach different audiences, including GQ who praised him, “Armed with impeccable performances and costumes, the filmmaker highlights his extraordinary technical ability to reach different audiences.” The success of the film led to his master degree at the University of Southern California, where he had the opportunity to work with Mark Jonathan Harris and Marsha Kinder, developing projects that were not only shown on the big screen but also in museums.
