Deep Under by British Indie Filmmaker Eric Garson Gets Online Release

Deep Under is a short film by British Indie filmmaker, Eric Garson.

Deep Under is a short film that was directed by British Independent filmmaker, Eric Garson. The short film, Deep Under tells the story of a husband who reveals to his wife that he’s a spy.

The film stars American screenwriter, actress, and producer Eilis Cahill (credits include Mouthful, Mad & Stake Land) and alongside her is the accomplished stage and theatre actor, Charles Hagerty.

The production team behind the project, FYWHYEM Productions, have previously made The Carter Sanction, Whisper, Dog Days, The Closet & in post-production Diva, Instant & The Bronze Pocket Watch.

Deep Under is a collaboration between screenwriter & co-producer Eilis Cahill and director Eric Garson.

Inspired by Eilis’ script, Eric wanted the film to feel like it was almost underwater, subterranean, under an ocean of secrets and half-truths. As a consequence, in collaboration with cinematographer Gabi Bilin, a saturated blue lighting scheme was employed to convey this mood, tone and atmosphere.

The film’s soundtrack was originally composed by Ivor McGurk. Who obtained the services of a South African cellist to record the cello for the films soundtrack.

Alongside sound mixer Krzysztof Rodzik, audio post-production engineer Sophie Marchant & poster designer Rashpal Gurm, the cast and crew of Deep Under hope they have made a visually rich and immersive cinematic experience.

About the Director Eric Garson
Eric Garson studied Biomedical Sciences, then branched into Immunology and pursued Research projects in Lentiviral Vector Gene Therapy for Schizophrenia and Ataxia. Eric worked at a Biotech, Vaccine Company making and testing vaccines against Influenza, Tuberculosis, Malaria & Hepatitis C Virus. After all that, Eric Garson ended up making films. Go figure.
