Savvas’ Christou Debuts with “Katherine’s Lullaby”, a Psychological Thriller in 2020

Savvas Christou is the director of “Katherine’s Lullaby”

The “Katherine’s Lullaby” film will be completed by the end of 2019, and then will be sent to film festivals as well as partners for global distribution.

Katherine’s Lullaby”, which will be Savvas’ Christou feature debut, explores the themes of “survival” and “family relationships”. The film is about a teenage runaway (Tori Kostic) who is trapped by a delusional man (William KircherThe Hobbit Trilogy”) and pretends to be his daughter in order to escape. This sick but loving relationship, evolved into a family she would kill to have.

Katherine’s Lullaby” is produced by Savvas Christou and Melissa Gutierrez. The development of the screenplay took around one year and then we felt ready to go into pre-production. The principal photography took 18 days from mid-August until early September 2018, in Wrightwood, CA, right outside Los Angeles.

The cinematography is signed by Manuel Velasquez. The film is currently in post-production with Javad Emami on editing, Harris Charalambous on color correction and Dimitris Mann on music composing


Cast: Tori Kostic Tori Kostic is an actress, known for Katherine’s Lullaby, Altergeist (2014), and The Outlier (2018).

Producer: Melissa Gutiérrez is an experienced producer who is effective at bringing projects from concept to reality. She holds a Master’s degree in producing. Melissa is expert in personnel and production management. She is passionate about turning the best ideas into content that inspire and entertain.

Director: Savvas Christou has been experimenting with filmmaking since high school. His lifelong passion led him to move to Los Angeles in 2016 to study Filmmaking at NYFA. Since then he has written and directed 13 short films, 5 of which were awarded in local and international film festivals.

Cinematographer: Manuel Velásquez is a passionate, dedicated professional who works in the United States and Overseas. He has an MFA in Cinematography from New York Film Academy. A BFA in Audiovisual Communications and Media From La Sabana (Colombia). He is fluent Spanish & English and boasts of an experience of 8 years in music videos, commercials & narratives.
