
Calgary, AB (March 26, 2017). Calgary based comedy web series “Danger Pay” is accepted as an Official Selection into the prestigious LA WEBFEST. (Danger Pay is 24th on the list), in Los Angeles, California. In addition, Carolyn Bridget Kennedy, the series’ producer and creator, is also nominated. She recieves an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her portrayal of Michelle Scott and actor Brent McIntosh is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy for his portrayal of Woodrow Swallow.
LA Webfest, the “Sundance” of web series festivals, is the oldest and largest web series festival in the world. This year it will screen 118 series from around the globe in 4 major genres and 46 award categories. Danger Pay is one of 7 web series selected from Canada, and the only one from Alberta.

Danger Pay has received screenings at 3 other festivals so far: Web Fest New York 2017; Web Series Festival Global Hollywood 2017; and WebFest Montreal where it earned a nomination for Best Pilot. The series was also mentioned by Tubefilter, a leading reviewer of online video, as an under-the-radar series to check out.
