André Joseph AJ Epyx productions sets May 4th as World Premieré day for The Saxophonist

New York, NY, – AJ Epyx Productions proudly announces the May 4 world premiere of award winning writer and director Andre´ Joseph’s The Saxophonist, a romantic drama about the struggles of having a successful music career and finding true love in New York City.

This film is fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). In The Saxophonist, Brooklyn based jazz saxophonist Beavin Lawrence makes his motion picture acting debut as Lonnie Johnson, a talented but struggling musician who is waiting for his big break to arrive.

In the midst of losing his girlfriend and recording a demo record for a major label, he meets a ballet dancer named Adella who he has an instant connection with. When the label requires him to move to Los Angeles, Lonnie struggles with his choices: take his career to the next level in the West Coast or pursue his romance at home in the East Coast?

The Saxophonist will make its world premiere on Friday, May 4 at 7:30pm at Brooklyn Fete on 1515 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226.

The Saxophonist stars Brooklyn-based jazz recording artist Beavin Lawrence in his motion picture debut, Nadya Encarnacion (“White Picket Fence”), Michael Anthony Roberts (“The Odyssey”), Ann Flanigan (“The Tempest”), Ron’Netta (“Love @ First Night”), Jarett Smithwrick (“An Urban Christmas Carol”), and Zoiea Ohizep (“Dishonorable Vendetta”). It is written and directed by Andre´ Joseph, with Andre´ Joseph as editor and Charlie Williams as director of photography. The film is produced by Bill Mack and Elizabeth Saldoriga of Cinomadic.
