Melborune, Australia – The team behind “The Library Boys” have launched a Kickstarter campaign for the post-production of their Australian high school comedy.

“This is the first time any footage of the film has been released so I’m a weird combination of excited and nervous right now”, said Writer-Director Zane Borg. Production of the film took place in mid 2019 with a miniscule budget Borg took from his own personal savings. The new campaign features a video of the young cast and crew sharing their thoughts on the film and asking for further support from the filmmaking community.

They’re seeking $15,000 (AUD) to finance the editing, colour correction, original music and sound mixing of the film. As of writing this, they’ve already raised over $3000 dollars (AUD).

Zane Borg is a young filmmaker raised in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. His interest in film began at the age of 7 when he first watched “JAWS” and was mesmerized at how a movie could have enough of an effect on him to keep him out of the ocean for years to come. This interest turned into a lifelong passion for cinema.

At 16 years old, Zane wrote and directed his first short film, “Phantasm“, based on the passing of his mother. It was well received at festivals all around the world, including winning the top prize at the Altona Beach Film Festival.

After high school, he spent two weeks at film school before dropping out to pursue his passion independently, starting with his latest film “A Man and a Woman”.
