Introduction: CREED is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. It is the 7th movie in the Rocky franchise. The story revolves around the former World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Balboa who serves as a trainer and mentor to Adonis Johnson, the son of his late friend and former rival Apollo Creed.

Review: I waited almost 9 years for a Rocky movie and it’s finally arrived, this movie is a big suprise and its one of the best movies of 2015.The movie brings entertainment in all levels. The performances of Michael.B Jordan and Sylvester Stallone are Oscar worthy. Stallone’s character made me tear up all the previous Rocky movies. The movie’s core is boxing but it’s about life which made it appealing to this generation. The movie is well executed. The score is absolutely perfect and pays homage to the franchise. The training scenes are great with much intensity to it. The boxing fights were great to look coupled with great cinematography that seemed much like how “Birdman” was shot. The movie has a great lesson. The only issue I had with the movie was the love story which was not as great as Adrian and Rocky’s but it’s still ignorable. CREED brings something new to the genre which Southpaw failed at.

Recommendation: CREED is an Oscar worthy boxing movie . You don’t have to be a boxing fan to love this movie. It is a must see for all Rocky fans out there.
