Director Mark C. Smith’s Two Balloons is already being called a masterpiece by critics and has been selected for over 50 high profile film festivals. This magical film screened at these Oscar-qualifying film festivals; Cleveland International Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival and RiverRun International Film Festival. Two Balloons won the Best Animation Short Film Award at a variety of festivals such as TIFF Kids, New Jersey International Festival, Oxford Film Festival, Sonoma International Film Festival and The Lower East Side Film Festival.

Official Two Balloons Synopsis : Two adventurous lemurs navigate their dirigibles halfway around the world to a place where happenstance and fate threaten to disrupt their reunion.

Two Balloons was made by a collaborating team of great artists: Two-time Emmy winning animator Teresa Drilling has been the lead animator on Academy nominated and winning films such as Anomalisa, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Coraline and Chicken Run. Supervising Sound Editor, Eric A. Norris is also a two-time Emmy winner, he created the sound for Superman (Man of Steel), The Book of Eli and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Foley Artist Andy Malcom is also an Emmy winner and has worked on over 600 films and television series including Blade Runner, The Life Aquatic with Zissou and The Greatest Showman. Visual effects supervisor Adam C. Sager’s extensive filmography includes the animation Coraline, TNT’s fantasy-adventure television series The Librarians, fantasy horror Grimm and the sketch-comedy series Portlandia.

Two Balloons was awarded the Special Mention Jury Award at Animafest Zagreb and the Best Music Score at New Renaissance Film Festival. It screened at Fantasia International Film Festival on July 15th at 11am and 2pm.
