Peter Stray’s first trailer & poster for “Canaries” from Devilworks debuts

Burbank, CA: Genre sales specialists Devilworks has revealed the first title in their Cannes lineup (this was released ahead of the Marche du Film in Cannes). UK sci fi horror comedy ‘Canaries’ from Welsh writer/director Peter Stray is about a group of friends at a New Year’s Eve bash in the Welsh Valley, who must fight against an invasion force of time travelling aliens.

The film stars Robert Pugh (Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who, Master & Commander) and Hannah Daniel (Netflix’s Hinterland).


Peter Stray was born in Wales and moved to the US ten years ago. As an actor he has appeared in LOST and many indie films and stage productions. As a writer he has had plays produced in the U.K. and screenplays optioned and filmed. His debut feature as a writer and director, CANARIES has a London west end premiere fall of 2018, he has one screenplay in pre-production in the U.K. and another optioned by a US production company. He is delighted to write and occasionally direct for ReelArc.
