Cranberry Nights the New Indie Drama from Sara Robin Wraps Up Production

Sara is headed into post-production to get this story out to the world

Cranberry Nights is in the can! After three full night shoots, plus exorbitant amounts of coffee, and all round splendid performances, Sara Robin, her cast and crew have concluded the production stage on her new indie drama about a undocumented Latina, titled “Cranberry Nights!”

Sara Robin is now headed into post-production to get her new story out to the world.

Synopsis: Desperate to feel like a normal high schooler for once,  16-year old Juana sneaks out to party with her friends, while her mother works the night shift. As the evening carries on, Juana steps out of her comfort zone to get closer to her crush, Robin. She never suspects that her best friend, Kelly, will risk Juana’s life with a drunken slip of the tongue…

Cranberry Nights is a coming of age film told from the perspective of an undocumented teenager. The film seeks to shine light on what it means to be undocumented in the United States today. It looks beyond the polarizing politics, and asks what a young undocumented person goes through on a daily basis.

Story & Themes: Juana has a crush on her classmate Robin and wants to go out with her friends to get closer to him. But attending a party is risky. Being caught might get her friends grounded – but for Juana it could mean the end of her life as she knows it. She is careful with sharing the truth about her status. The only person Juana entrusted the secret to is her best friend Kelly.
