Vision Films Ups Kristen Bedno to Vice President Distribution and Marketing

Los Angeles, CA – September 9, 2020 – Vision Films Inc. (“Vision”) announced today the promotion of Kristen Bedno to Vice President, Distribution and Marketing, further establishing her role overseeing distribution and marketing for the independent film distributor.

Ms. Bedno is a 12-year veteran of international and domestic marketing and distribution. She spent seven years with Starz and Lionsgate managing worldwide sales operations, international marketing, and publicity strategies, and launched Starz Original series including Emmy® Award-winning Black Sails, Power (Executive Produced by Courtney A. Kemp and Curtis “50” Cent Jackson), The Girlfriend Experience (starring Golden Globe®-nominated actress Riley Keough), and Ash vs Evil Dead (created by legendary Director Sam Raimi).

Since joining Vision one and a half years ago, she has not only overseen domestic distribution and marketing but also manages producer and new platform relationships and launches a multitude of films across streaming platforms and to DVD each month. Also within Bedno’s purview are spearheading and supervising film onboarding, creating trailers, key art and metadata, developing ad buy strategies, supervising publicity and social media initiatives and campaigns, international VOD windows, and implementing unique co-promotional opportunities with platforms including inDemand, Vubiquity, Dish, DirecTV, iTunes, Microsoft, Sony, Amazon, GooglePlay, Vudu, FandangoNow, Hoopla, and more.

Originally from Southern Indiana, Bedno is a member of Women in Film, National Association of Professional Women, and OTT.X, where she serves as a leader with their Leadership Development Foundation initiative. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Scott and their opinionated cat, Delilah.
