TADJi is following up on its Best International Short Film win at the Oscar®-qualifying Foyle Film Festival. Mahdi Borjian’s acclaimed short TADJI joins HollyShorts Official Selection.
Hollywood, CA (August 07, 2026). Hazelnut Media Pte. Ltd delights to announce TADJI. The short is under direction of acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Mahdi Borjian. It is a selection of the 22nd Oscar®- and BAFTA-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival. This is taking place from 13–22 August 2026 at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood.

The selection follows the film’s Best International Short Film victory at the Oscar®-qualifying Foyle Film Festival. It is accompanied by its selection for the Asian Eye Competition. At the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival. Thus continuing an international festival journey that has seen the film recognized across Europe, North America and Asia.
The film’s international campaign has unfolded while Borjian remained in Iran during a period of regional conflict, with the director and producing team working across multiple countries to coordinate festival submissions, publicity and international outreach. Throughout that journey, the focus has remained firmly on sharing a deeply human story that speaks to audiences across cultures.
