Morristown, NJ – August 24, 2021 – The filmmaking team which created the 1980s-era comedy short, “Life on Pause” is actively seeking to create a feature-length version of this story; about endearing, but mishap-prone wedding videographer Adam Sakovich.

“I’m thrilled about the reception it’s received,” said writer/director Steven Lifshey. Thus far, the short has won Best Short at Cinemafest, Best Cast at the Atlanta Award-Qualifying Film Festival, been nominated for Best Comedy at the New Hope Film Festival, and – at the Hang Onto Your Shorts Film Festival – was nominated for both Best Comedy and Best Actor in a Comedy (Daniel Desmarais).

Synopsis: A 1980’s-era wedding videographer, still smitten with his college crush, attempts to win her love with his “totally awesome” camera skills.

Kyle Bain (Bain Film Reviews) called Desmarais “a star,” adding: “He’s amazing, making Adam entertaining, genuine, charismatic and relatable”… “I’m willing to say it’s damn near impossible not to like Adam.” And Mike Haberfelner (Search My Trash) called the film a “really good fun underdog comedy”…“And if it wasn’t pretty hilarious before, the punchline would be enough to make this one worth a watch.”
