As one of the main cast on “Life Was Wonderful”, how did this ‘choice’ work for you?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): This project is so important in my career since it’s the first time I had to play horror in such a way. It was challenging because my role carries all this creepy and angelic sides. It was great to step out of my comfort zone and had to challenge myself in a new genre. Now I get to show it as a new professional skill.

What part of the story challenged you when you read it? What drove you to get on “Life Was Wonderful” ?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): The story is full of twists and turns therefore is my character. You’ll see me as a nice girl but in my co-star’s consciousness I’m the opposite. Getting to be the creepy one and having the chance to scare people was a fun experience. It’s really pleasing when, as an actor, you reach your goal out of your performance.

Give an example of a direction you received from the director during the production or “Life Was Wonderful” ?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): When my co-star pictures me as an evil girl who comes back from the death and tries to kill him, the director was very specific in the way I had to portrait that creepy and crazy character.
How did you create your character from ground up?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): Talking to the director about what he wanted me to do helped me a lot. Once I had a solid idea of how the character was reacting to different circumstances I could play around and try different things until we got the accurate one.

As main cast on the film, describe your feeling of responsibility that you shouldered. Did it fire you up?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): After the first meeting I felt very comfortable talking to everyone. If I would feel I needed to speak my mind up I knew I was able to. The whole shooting was pretty flawless. I only felt that the pressure was on me when we had to do a scene only in one take because the amount of fake blood was considerable and we couldn’t mess it up. Luckily everything went great!
Explain one creative choice you made on set during production of “Life Was Wonderful” ?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): As actors we have the chance to be creative when it comes to our characters decisions as long as the director agrees. In a few scenes i thought it would be very helpful if I was there when my partner needed to do scenes when the camera was on him. In the scene I was there but I wouldn’t be shown because of his close up frame. Still I wanted to be there to give him the emotion and support he needed to feel while performing.
What did you take away from the film production?
Rocío de la Grana (RG): Many good things. In a few words professionalism, patience, creativity, organization.
