After collaborating with fashion icon Virgil Abloh, rising star Djiby Kebe muses on the transactional realm of art for his astute debut short. Smudged with wavering feelings of unease, L’avance adds color to the existential dilemmas of an African diasporic painter with vitality and novel style.
