Stanley Grimp is a door-‐to-‐door umbrella salesman just trying to get by in life but on this day he’s about to come to the brutal realization that perhaps the times have passed him by.

Starring Kevin Kolack (“Blue Ruin”) and Sabrina Gennarino (“The Walking Dead”), “Death of an Umbrella Salesman” is a 17-‐minute comedy/drama directed by Steve Herold, who wrote and produced with James L. Palmer. The film was shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in glorious black and white by director of photography Jessica Gurney.

Steve had planned on shooting the film in his home state of New Jersey but when work on Discovery Channel’s hit TV show “Killing Fields” brought him to Baton Rouge for six months he decided to shoot the film there using some of his fellow crew mates from the show. As luck would have it Jessica, an old friend, was also working in Louisiana on the A&E show “Duck Dynasty” and joined the crew as DP.
