Los Angeles, CA (May, 9th 2023). Director Eivind Landsvik, and Producer Ulrik Wold’s TITS was selected from 4288 films to compete for the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Palme d’or. This award will be handed by the Jury chaired by Ildikó Enyedi, Saturday, May 27, during the closing ceremony of the 76th Festival de Cannes.

TITS is a coming-of-age story that features two teenagers who are both uncomfortable with their bodies. This Nordic film shares an honest portrayal of some of the challenges we face at that age.

Logline: Following an unpleasant run in at the beach, teenagers Oscar and Iben are left.

Writer, Director Eivind Landsvik is a filmmaker from the suburbs outside of Oslo, Norway. He began his career making music videos for local acts, with a focus on storytelling combined with sensitive visual language. He soon made his way into fiction, making short films. Landsvik has developed a personal take on coming-of-age stories that often revolve around themes such as identity and loneliness. His short film Sofia Last Summer won the film critics award at the Norwegian Short Film Festival. Eivind is currently developing his first feature film.

Ulrik Wold is a producer based in Oslo, Norway. Starting his career at an ad agency in London working with global brands, he quickly transferred over to fiction where he now is a junior producer at Einar Film and Anonymous Content Nordic. Some of the themes Ulrik likes to address in his films include mental health, cultural differences, and politics.

As an overarching theme for his films Ulrik wishes to create commentary on societal issues such as mental health, cultural differences, and politics.

TITS will screen at Cannes Film Festival.
