The Toronto-based independent company spotlights Genesis, Monopoli, Babel: The Infinite Code and Memoria while building an internationally oriented film slate.
Toronto, Ontario (September 3, 2026): CF33 Entertainment is introducing four science-fiction projects from its broader development slate: Genesis, Monopoli, Babel: The Infinite Code and Memoria. The Toronto-based Canadian independent production and development company is presenting the four films as a related body of work within a wider and growing programme.
CF33 develops and acquires original, filmmaker-driven motion pictures for Canadian and international audiences. Its early direction begins with science fiction and psychological thrillers, with plans to expand selectively into other genres. These four projects share an interest in memory, intelligence, identity and human agency, but they do not define the limits of the company’s current or future work.
Genesis leads the group. In a future where a citywide system edits memory to keep society stable, a designer it cannot fully predict flees with his estranged sister to recover the family history erased from him, only to discover that breaking Iden may cost him the people he is trying to remember. It is written by Jaze Bordeaux, from a story by Bordeaux and Ilham Aragrag, with Bordeaux attached as writer-director.
“What connects these films for me is that each one begins with a large idea, but ultimately asks a very human question about choice, memory or responsibility,” said Bordeaux. “CF33 gives us a place to develop ambitious genre stories with patience and rigour. These projects are an opening chapter, not a boundary. We also want to find and support distinctive work from other filmmakers as the company grows.”
Monopoli is a philosophical science-fiction and financial thriller in development. An intelligence within a global cryptocurrency network begins preventing systemic collapse without human consent. Two investigators trace it from Toronto to Iceland, Monopoli and Lagos, confronting whether shutting it down will restore freedom or undo the stability it created. The screenplay is written by Bordeaux, from a story by Bordeaux and Aragrag.
Babel: The Infinite Code is a science-fiction and philosophical thriller in development. In an infinite archive containing every book that can ever be written, a grieving cartographer finds a volume describing a memory no one else remembers. It draws him toward a forbidden region where the Library may still be writing the future. The screenplay is written by Bordeaux, from a story by Bordeaux and Aragrag.
Memoria is a philosophical science-fiction and human drama in development. Across human and post-human eras, an evolving archive of memory passes between minds and machines, testing whether identity survives through preserved information or through the capacity to be changed by another. The screenplay is written by Bordeaux, from a story by Ilham Aragrag and Jaze Bordeaux.
Bordeaux is a Co-Founder, Executive Producer and Writer-Director at CF33. Jaze Bordeaux received the Best Director award for EFC at the 44th Paladino d’Oro International Sport Film Festival in Palermo, Italy, in December 2024. Aragrag is an award-winning producer and Co-Founder of CF33, where she serves as Executive Producer. Her background in strategy, finance and leadership informs her work in project development, creative partnerships and the company’s long-term direction.
“The four films give CF33 a clear creative foundation while leaving room for the company to grow. Our focus is to develop each project deliberately, welcome strong creative partnerships and build a practical path for new work to join the company over time,” said Aragrag.
The company intends to continue evaluating original science-fiction and elevated genre projects, including work developed outside its founding team, and to expand into other genres as its relationships and project base grow. The four films introduced here represent a selected creative foundation within that broader direction.
