Director Brian Lawes LOST KINGS has been making its mark on the film world, having been selected for more than twenty high-profile film festivals including seven Oscar qualifiers and now this timely film has qualified to be considered for a 2022 Academy Award®. 

Synopsis: Searching for food, a boy breaks into a neighborhood home. But when the homeowners return, he becomes trapped inside with those he’s stealing from. 

Brian Lawes is an American film director, writer, and producer. He is known for Lost Kings (2020), Rock Paper Scissors (2018), and Tempo (2017). His films have played all across the world, earning multiple jury awards, with notable premieres at the Oscar® Qualifying Palm Springs International ShortFest, HollyShorts Film Festival, and Indy Shorts International Film Festival. Brian is currently in development on his first feature film.

Producer Amanda Hyden has risen through the ranks as one of the most capable, well-rounded production forces, with experience managing multimillion-dollar projects that span all across the globe. The stunning cinematography was created by Vincent Gonneville, who previously lensed the OSCAR® Nominated Live Action Short Film, Brotherhood, as well as Home Turf, a mini-series he lensed last year that took home the award for Best Short Series at the 2019 Cannes International Series Festival.

LOST KINGS, won the Jury Awards for Best U.S. Narrative Short at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, Best Short at the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, and Short Film Honorable Mention at the Omaha Film Festival. It was also selected by the Oscar® Qualifying Palm Springs International ShortFest, HollyShorts Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, Calgary International Film Festival, Edmonton, and International Film Festival.
