Hollywood, CA (August 14, 2026). BAFTA winning actor David Bradley (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Frankenstein, Hot Fuzz, After Life) leads the uplifting new dark comedy short film, Life Goes On. It is about a man who is in an infinite time loop, on his deathbed. Also starring is EMMY Nominee, BAFTA winner and recent Oscars Announcer, Matt Berry (What we Do in the Shadows, Toast of London), Maggie Steed (10 Percent, Fisherman’s Friends, Paddington 2) and Laura Checkley (King Gary, The Detectorists, Military Wives).
Synopsis: It follows terminally ill Bill (Bradley), who’s stuck in an infinite time loop on his last day on earth. The darkly sweet and hopeful tale explores themes of family, vulnerability and saying the important things to the important people.

The film is the debut short film of writing/directing duo Daniel Audritt and Kat Butterfield, best known for Comedy Central online sketch series Modern Horror Stories (nominated for Debut Writer at the Edinburgh TV Festival New Voice Awards), and the LOVIE Award winning Comic Relief Originals series, which included sketches like Stephen Hawking’s New Voice ft. Anna Kendrick & Eddie Redmayne (BBC One/NBC America). Prior to film-making, co-writer/director Kat worked in the fundraising team at a hospice in her home town in Lancashire, UK, which helped to serve as inspiration for the film, alongside recent family illness and bereavements.
The writer/director duo’s Audacious Productions banner made and self-funded the short, where they also served as producers. Hamish Anderson (Black Dog) is leading cinematography, Sophie Swinton on production design (Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything, Sky), Patrick Jack Whelan on costume design and Branka Vorkapic (Wicked) on Hair & Make-up, with casting by Francesca Bradley (Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die), original score by Jérémy Velez and edited by Hettie Griffiths (We Might Regret This, BBC).
The film began its festival run with a world premiere at the Oscar Qualifying Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF), where it won the Grand Jury Prize for Best International Short, before being programmed at a further 5 Oscar Qualifying festivals, including Indyshorts, Bali and Raindance, where it was nominated for Best UK Short.
