Rémi Allier’s heart-stopping film Little Hands took home the Best Short Film César Award (the French Oscars) this year and was in contention at multiple high profile international film festivals. This wonderful film shares the story of a young child whose world changes in a flash.

Upon discovering that the management is closing down the factory, a desperate employee kidnaps the toddler of the director in order to negotiate.

Rémi Allier is a young French director and screenwriter. After studying editing in Paris, he went on to study directing in Belgium. In 2012, he co-directed and co-wrote his first short film: Jan, alongside Pablo Munoz Gomez. The year after he directed his final thesis film Zinneke, which was selected for multiple festivals around the world. Now he is writing his first feature film. His work focuses on youth and childhood.

Little Hands received its world premiere as part of the official competition at the prestigious Telluride Film Festival, it was then selected in competition Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival and more than 150 festivals worldwide.

This topical film is a Films Grand Huit and Wrong Men co-production, by producers Benoît Roland, Pauline Seigland and Lionel Massol.

The distribution agency Salaud Morisset who’s recent short Skin won the 2019 Academy Award for Live Action Short is representing the film.
